The Goka area in which the Echizen Washi Village is located, has an approx. 1,500-year history as one of the few washi paper-producing regions in Japan, and boasts the highest quality and technology for producing Echizen washi.

From Tokyo, take the Hokuriku Shinkansen and get off at JR Echizen Takefu Station.

- You can participate in a paper making experience at Papyrus House to make your own unique sheet of washi paper. (20 minutes~, reservation is required)
